About Your Facilitator

Katie Poirier

Registered Psychologist

Katie is a Registered Psychologist with the College of Alberta Psychologists and has been working in the field for over 10 years. In this role, she believes her priority is to hold what is well in her clients and help them find what they want to flourish. Her particular passions and areas of specialty are in the realm of eating disorders, sexual assault/abuse, and trauma. Katie believes in helping clients grow and flourish through a client-centered framework that emphasizes equality and empowerment. She brings compassion and humour to therapy and strives to create an open and collaborative space for all to be heard. Outside of her client work, Katie values spending time with her partner & three kiddos (twins plus one!), as well as leaning into her creative outlets.  Although Katie calls Alberta home, her roots are in New Brunswick and she wears that proudly!
