Nutritional counselling services are often available through local primary care networks (PCN) You can find your PCN through this website. Looking for a doctor who has experience in eating disorders? Banff

Support Works

Offers support groups on Thursday evenings. This isn’t a support group specific to eating disorders, but rather an open group for people experiencing a variety of mental health issues or illnesses (anxiety, depression, OCD, PTSD.)

Banff Community Health Centre

Mental Health counselling for individuals, couples and families. The Banff Community Health Centre provides programs and services for people experiencing mental health issues. It offers short-term Mental Health Counselling (1 to 10 sessions) that include:

  • assessing, treating and follow up
  • providing information
  • referring people to other mental wellness services

Canmore

Canmore Hospital

The Canmore Hospital offers walk-in counselling, 7 days a week from 2-9 PM. You just go to the front desk and let them know you would like to speak to a mental health worker.

Canmore Mental Health Office

The Canmore Mental Health Office has a couple of therapists on staff who have some experience in eating disorders. They are located at 302- 800 Railway Avenue. Phone: 403-678-4696.

Canmore Public Health Clinic

The Canmore Public Health Clinic has a dietician on staff who has experience with eating disorders. Her name is Monique Chambefort. You don’t need a doctor’s referral to see her.
