Online Drop-in Support Group for Caregivers: Eating Disorders 101

This online drop-in group is suitable for parents, partners, friends, siblings, loved ones, and supporters of anyone with eating disorders.

About This Group

Join Registered Nurse Chantelle Jensen for this drop-in online support group where we will discuss the basics of approaching and supporting someone experiencing an eating disorder, explore language that helps and hinders recovery, evaluate personal beliefs and biases, discuss general diagnostic criteria, and much more.

Eating Disorders are confusing topics for many and for those with loved ones experiencing an eating disorder or disordered eating, this group will offer a high level overview of what an eating disorder is.

Feel free to bring your own topics to discuss, as there will be time for open discussion as well!

EDSNA support groups are always:

  • Professionally-facilitated by people with extensive backgrounds in eating disorders
  • Intended to support those wishing to support someone through their path to recovery in a safe, nonjudgmental environment
  • Focused on fostering a sense of empowerment and hope
  • Focused on promoting self-discovery in a safe space
  • Limited to a small number of participants to allow everyone to participate fully
