Online Support Group for People Experiencing an Eating Disorder or Disordered Eating
This ONLINE support group is for anyone (18+) experiencing an eating disorder, disordered eating, and/or experiencing anxiety around food, eating, and body image.
You do not need proof of diagnosis to enroll.
This group is open to those with all manner of disordered eating behaviour.
About This Group
Join Registered Social Worker Mo Bamuwagun in this 8-week online support group.
This is a safe, compassionate space for individuals who are navigating the challenges of eating disorders/disordered eating. Whether you are seeking recovery, healing, or simply a place to be heard, we’re here to offer support, understanding, and community. Our group provides a confidential and non-judgmental environment where you can share your journey, listen to others, and find strength in shared experiences. You are not alone, and we are committed to walking this path with you—every step of the way.
Who Is This Group For?
- Individuals who are impacted with or recovering from an eating disorder/disordered eating, or body image concerns
- Those seeking a sense of connection and encouragement from others who understand.
- Anyone looking for a safe space to share, listen, and heal.

PLEASE NOTE: This group is intended as support, and is not a substitute for treatment. We encourage you to speak with your Physician about treatment options specific to your circumstances.
EDSNA support groups are always:
- Professionally-facilitated by people with extensive backgrounds in eating disorders.
- Intended to support those wishing to continue on the path of recovery in a safe, nonjudgmental environment.
- Limited to a small number of participants to allow everyone to participate fully.

Individuals interested in participating DO NOT require proof of diagnosis. This group is open to those with all manner of disordered eating behaviour.
Support Group Details
This group will meet on Eight (8) Tuesdays.
Dates include:
- March 11, 18, 25
- April 1, 8, 15, 22, 29
This is a multi-week group. Registration for this series includes all eight (8) sessions.

6:00 pm – 8:00 pm (18:00 – 20:00 MST)

Additional Information:
*A computer/laptop/tablet and internet access are required to participate. Please be sure to review your confirmation email carefully, as it contains the “Guidelines for Groups” document. The Zoom link to access the online sessions will be sent via email on the day of the first group.
**EDSNA does not want financial barriers to stop a participant from attending a support group. Please email info@EDSNA.ca to discuss your circumstances, as we may be able to reduce your fees, or waive them entirely.
About Your Facilitator
Mo Bamuwagun
Registered Social Worker
Mo is a Registered Social Worker with a clinical specialization in adult mental health and addictions. She was born in Nigeria, West Africa and started her work within mental health from there. She has worked with individuals, families, couples and young adults across the lifespan and across various mental health and addiction concerns. From the beginning of her career, she has had intersectional encounters with disordered eating of various kinds, both within the BIPOC community and the wider population. In her current roles, both as a mental health therapist with AHS and in her private practice, she has continued to encounter concerning presentations of disordered eating. Her approach to therapy is centered on being weight inclusive, body positive, intuitive and importantly, being curious about intersecting interactions between systems and the individual. She is trained in a wide range of therapeutic interventions and is a licensed Trauma Therapist.
