(YEG) In-Person Support Group (for Individuals Experiencing Binge Eating)

This support group is for ADULTS (18+) with eating disorders, disordered eating, and anyone experiencing anxiety about food and body image.
You do not need proof of diagnosis to enrol.
This group is open to those with all manner of disordered eating behaviour but is primarily focused for individuals struggling with binge eating.

About This Group
Because no one should have to face an eating disorder alone, this multi-week professionally facilitated support group promotes self discovery in a safe space.
This support group is:
- Professionally-facilitated by people with extensive backgrounds in eating disorders.
- Intended to support to those wishing to continue on the path of recovery in a safe, nonjudgmental environment
- Limited to a small number of participants allow everyone to participate fully.
Individuals interested in participating do not require proof of diagnosis. This group is open to those with all manner of disordered eating behaviour.

About Your Facilitator
Selene is a Registered Dietitian and a Certified Intuitive Eating Counsellor. She has a decade of experience in nutrition counselling and specializes in working with eating disorders and body image concerns. She guides individuals to eat in a manner that meets nutrient needs and respects hunger and fullness cues. Selene teaches strategies to regulate the body’s nervous system so that individuals may become aware of what their bodies truly need. Her work involves a combination of mindfulness, movement, self-regulation and self compassion. Learn more about her approach here.
