Providing Support When Working with Binge Eating: Practical Tools from a Dietitian’s Perspective

This workshop for healthcare professionals from all disciplines focuses on practical support tips/strategies when working with adults who experience binge eating.

- Supportive language and communication strategies to validate and attend to client concerns
- Key tools and tips to help providers address common challenges

- List of key resources for clients to support recovery
Participants in this workshop will come away with more education about binge eating, supporting those who struggle. and will be better prepared to deal with the challenges they may encounter. Students (18+) of healthcare disciplines are also welcome. Please note: this workshop is not meant to give the foundation for treating binge eating disorder. Rather, it is to provide additional education around supporting adult clients who experience binge eating. For training to offer treatment, please seek an appropriate, accredited training program.

Selene is a Registered Dietitian and a certified Intuitive Eating Counsellor. For 10 years, Selene has provided nutrition counselling for individuals experiencing chronic conditions, as well as disordered eating and body image concerns.
