Online Drop-In Group for People with Eating Disorders & Disordered Eating

This ONLINE support group is for ADULTS (18+) with eating disorders, disordered eating, and anyone experiencing anxiety around food, eating, and body image.
You do not need proof of diagnosis to enrol-
this group is open to those with all manner of disordered eating behaviour.

Because no one should have to face an eating disorder alone, this ONLINE, single-session, professionally facilitated support group promotes self discovery in a safe space.
This support group is:
- Professionally-facilitated by people with extensive backgrounds in eating disorders.
- Intended to support to those wishing to continue on the path of recovery in a safe, nonjudgmental environment
- Limited to a small number of participants allow everyone to participate fully.
Individuals interested in participating do not require proof of diagnosis. This group is open to those with all manner of disordered eating behaviour.
Support Group Details
Date: May 18, 2020
This is a single session drop-in group. Registration is required for each group a participant wishes to join. (Note: For multi-week groups, visit our full programming calendar )
Time: 6:30pm – 8:00pm (18:30 – 20:00 MST)
Location: Online, via Zoom*
Cost: $10 per session (online, using Paypal – registration closes at 3pm)**
Facilitator: Dr. Angela Grace
*Dr. Grace will be using Zoom for this support group, and will send a link to access the group the day the group starts. Please ignore the login information for “Join Me” and “Go To Meeting” in your confirmation email. A computer/laptop/tablet and internet access are required to participate.
**EDSNA does not want financial barriers to stop a participant from attending a support group. Please email info@EDSNA.ca to discuss your circumstances, as we may be able to reduce your fees, or waive them entirely.
About Your Facilitator
Dr. Angela Grace is a Registered Psychologist, Shamanic Practitioner, Internationally Certified Iyengar Yoga Instructor, and Clinical Advisor to EDSNA. She is passionate about eating disorder prevention and holistic, integrated approaches to treatment. Angela coordinates creative events for Eating Disorders Awareness Week in Calgary, is a National prevention expert, and founded Heart Centered Counselling, which has a focus on treating trauma, body image issues, and eating disorders in girls and women. She utilizes a holistic body-mind-spirit approach for individuals and groups, including EMDR, Hakomi, and soul-centered approaches to healing. Angela believes that there is nothing more beautiful than a woman who has reclaimed her soul.
