Welcome to the registration page for the “Calgary Eating Disorders Program: Workshop for Professionals”
About this Workshop
Created to help healthcare professionals better support their clients with eating disorders/disordered eating, the Calgary Eating Disorders Program will be presenting their Workshop for Professionals via Telehealth, casting from Calgary to the city of Lethbridge.
In Lethbridge, the Eating Disorder Support Network of Alberta (EDSNA) will be hosting the Telehealth, and representatives from the organization will be available to answer questions from event attendees after the presentation has ended.
Topics covered include, but are not limited to:
- Myths & Facts
- Diagnostic Criteria
- Causes of, and factors that contribute to, the development of eating disorders
- Warning Signs
- Language that helps to support recovery
Certificates will also be sent out after the workshop.

Who is eligible to attend this event?
Physicians, Registered Dietitians, Nurses, Psychiatric Nurses, Occupational Therapists, Social Workers, Psychologists, Psychiatrists, and other similar healthcare professionals.
What’s a ‘Telehealth’? Will the presenter be in the room for the presentation?
No, the presenter will not be in the room to give this presentation; rather, they will be presenting live from the Alberta Children’s Hospital in Calgary, and broadcasting this presentation to Lethbridge. The Telehealth is an online video conferencing program, similar to Skype or Zoom, but only available for presentations from/within Alberta Health Services.
What do I do if I have questions after the presentation is over?
The Directors of EDSNA will be in the meeting room in Lethbridge, and will be available to answer questions. They will also be speaking briefly about some of the supports that EDSNA offers.
