This support group is for ADULTS (18+) who experience binge eating.

You do not need proof of diagnosis to enrol.

This group is open to those with all manner of disordered eating behaviour

but is primarily focused for individuals struggling with binge eating.

About This Group

Because no one should have to face an eating disorder alone, this multi-week professionally facilitated support group promotes self discovery in a safe space.

About this 8-week series:

Topics covered may include (pending group interest):

  • cycle of restrict-binge eating
  • window of tolerance/ nervous system regulation
  • diet culture and binge-eating myths
  • supportive tips for meal time
  • food mindfulness
  • body image, body kindness, and body neutrality
  • self-compassion

PLEASE NOTE: This group is intended as support, and is not a substitute for treatment. We encourage you to speak with your Physician about treatment options specific to your circumstances.

EDSNA support groups are always:

  • Professionally-facilitated by people with extensive backgrounds in eating disorders.
  • Intended to support to those wishing to continue on the path of recovery in a safe, nonjudgmental environment.
  • Limited to a small number of participants allow everyone to participate fully.

Individuals interested in participating do not require proof of diagnosis. This group is open to those with all manner of disordered eating behaviour.

*EDSNA does not want financial barriers to stop a participant from attending a support group. Please email to discuss your circumstances, as we may be able to reduce or waive your fees.

**A computer/laptop/tablet and internet access are required to participate. Please read your confirmation email carefully, as it will include details for downloading and using “Zoom”, as well as the EDSNA “Guidelines for Groups”. A link to join the scheduled sessions will be sent closer to the start date.

Selene is a Registered Dietitian and a certified Intuitive Eating Counsellor. For 10 years, Selene has provided nutrition counselling for individuals experiencing chronic conditions, as well as disordered eating and body image concerns.
