Online Support Group

for Healthcare Professionals Experiencing an eating disorder or disordered eating

No camera – audio only

This support group is open to ADULTS (18+) with all manner of disordered eating behaviour

You do not need proof of diagnosis to enroll.

About This Group

Contrary to what many might think, eating disorders disproportionately impact healthcare professionals. Research shows that a higher percentage of healthcare providers may struggle with disordered eating behaviors compared to the general population.

This 8-week audio-only onling support group, led by  Registered Dietitian Selene Yan, is designed specifically for healthcare professionals seeking a recovery-focused environment. Whether you’re navigating a diagnosed eating disorder or disordered eating patterns, discuss what you want to discuss in this recovery-focused environment. Come find support, connection, and “take up space” with us.

Who is this group for:

This is a safe and confidential space for those in the healthcare field who are navigating the challenges of an eating disorder or disordered eating. Whether you are a doctor, nurse, therapist, or another regulated healthcare provider, we understand the unique pressures and demands that come with your profession.

What to expect:

Audio-only format for added privacy and comfort, with verbal participation only (Cameras off)

A supportive, non-judgmental environment where members can share their experiences, find understanding, and connect with others who face similar struggles. Together, we’ll foster discussions around coping strategies, self-care, and the journey toward healing, while also addressing the specific challenges that healthcare professionals face in balancing their well-being with the demanding nature of their work.

No matter where you are in your recovery, you are not alone. We are here to support each other and grow together in a compassionate, understanding, and confidential space.

This group will not use a camera- participation will be verbal, with cameras off. This is not a chatroom-style group.

PLEASE NOTE: This group is intended as support, and is not a substitute for treatment. We encourage you to speak with your Healthcare provider about treatment options specific to your circumstances. This group is open to those working in a regulated profession, if you have any questions on if this group is the right fit please email alisha@edsna.ca
